1. Information We Collect

When you connect CleanX to your X account, we access and store:

Your X handle and public profile information
The list of accounts you follow on X
Public profile data of those accounts (bio, follower/following counts, tweet counts)
Recent public tweet timestamps for accounts you follow

We do not access your direct messages, private account information, or any content not publicly available on X.

2. Payment Information

Payments are processed through Stripe. CleanX does not receive or store your credit card number, CVC, or full payment details. We store only the transaction record (amount, date, credit pack type) for your account history.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the data we collect to:

Analyze your following list for inactivity, spam signals, and account quality
Present you with review recommendations
Execute unfollow actions you explicitly confirm
Maintain your account and credit balance
Improve the accuracy of our analysis

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage & Retention

Your data is stored on servers in the United States. We retain your account data as long as your CleanX account remains active. If you disconnect CleanX from X or request deletion, we remove your data within 30 days. Transaction records may be retained longer as required for legal and accounting purposes.

5. Third-Party Services

CleanX uses the following third-party services in the course of providing the Service:

X (Twitter) API — to retrieve your following list and account data
Stripe — to process payments
OpenRouter — as an LLM provider for classifying account bios
TwitterAPI.io — as an additional data provider for X account information

Each of these services operates under its own privacy policy. We share only the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

CleanX uses essential session cookies to keep you signed in. We also use the browser extension's local storage to maintain your pairing with the CleanX service. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

7. Chrome Extension

The CleanX Chrome extension executes unfollow actions through your existing authenticated X session in your browser. The extension only interacts with X.com to perform unfollows you have confirmed. It does not read, collect, or transmit any other browsing data or page content.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), secure credential storage, and access controls. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

9. Your Rights

You may:

Disconnect CleanX from your X account at any time
Request a copy of the data we hold about you
Request deletion of your account and associated data

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page.
